Presented talks on peptide self-assembly and molecular simulation at three international conferences this summer: PepMat 2026 (Warsaw), ECC10 (Antwerp), and the Peptide Self-Assembly Conference (Mainz).

Attended the 2026 Global Young Academy International Conference of Young Scientists.

PhD student Aiswarya Rajeev presented her first research poster at the Bremen Life Sciences Meeting (BLSM) 2026 at Constructor University.

Our QSense Omni 2 QCM-D instrument from Biolin Scientific AB has been delivered and installed in our wet laboratory. The instrument will support our research on biomolecular interactions, lipid membranes, and peptide-membrane activity studies.

Aiswarya Rajeev joins the Biomolecular Systems and Design Lab as our first doctoral researcher, working on membrane activity of self-assembling peptide fibrils.

Collaborative paper with the Synatschke group on designing peptide fibril hydrophobic cores for enhanced neural regeneration published in Small Science.

Torsten John appointed Liaison Lecturer (Vertrauensdozent) for the German Bunsen Society for Physical Chemistry (DBG) at Constructor University.

Contributed talk on molecular mechanisms of peptide assembly for biomaterials at the SupraLife Final International Conference, Aveiro, Portugal.
